Quick Minute Microwave Food Dehydrator Review

Since we are selling this product we thought we should try it out, especially after the review that has been posted.We did not find the problems mentioned previously.It does not take the place of a large dehydrator nor does it take the time it takes to go through the process with the larger appliances. It does make quick, easy, low volume snacks.As with any microwave utensil, it takes knowing how fast your microwave cooks using this product, there is a learning curve.For the money and convenience, it works, our grandkids loved the apples!

this dryer is awesome , it just struck me funny that i paid very very close to $400.00 bucks for it with shipping , it also took a week before they said they had my order then said it would be 10 more days before they would ship . soooo when i got it , i opened the box it was thereand nope no book about how to use it or a recipe book , ok no biggie right well $400 bucks you would think they could give yaa book other than that it is awesome and i would buy from them again

Metalware Open Country Beef Jerky Works Kit Review

I purchased their Jerkey Making Kit. I was skeptical of turning ground meat into jerky. I figured it would dry out, fall apart and turn to something like Pemican. To my great surprise it held together and I was using Venison (lower fat content). The Nesco Flavor packets were quite tasty. The Ground meat Jerkey lacks the feel of tradtional strip beef jerkey but makes it easier to eat, especially those with dental issues.
The one problem I have with the jerkey Kit is that it is too small, you get less than 1/2 lb of meat per load, so you have to load the gun at least twice, usually 3 times per pound of meat. Sometimes it can gugle and spit when their is air in the meat. Usually by the last half of the tube the air has call compressed out but then you have to reload. If you really want to make Jerky I would get a gun with a larger capacity. But this gun proved to me it could be done (I had a lot of doubt).
One tip, squirt the meat onto wax paper and then transfer it onto your drying racks (I use the nesco snackmaster) when I squirted directly onto the racks it shoved meat between the grills and made it tough to remove. Maybe I should try it with that herb tray insert

Nesco BJ-6 Jerky Spice Works, 6-Pack, Original Flavor Review

We tried the Nesco Teriyaki and Nesco Hot/Spicy seasonings, but really preferred the "ORIGINAL" flavor.

Our favorite thing to do with it is make the beef jerky with ground beef. I even got my boyfriend to use the beef jerky gun.

Single serving packets, no measuring required. Open packs, mix with ground beef, put meat in extruder gun, squeeze onto drying racks. BAM! Good to go!Well in about 6-8 hours (give or take).

If you are trying to decide which seasonings to buy, go with the Original flavor, it really is the best.

Good4U 6 Tray Dehydrator with 40 Hour Digital Timer - Black Review

Hi Everyone,

Here is an update from my last post. I spoke to who I believe, is the owner of the good4u company and we had a good conversation. She has checked into the problems I was having and is taking action.A third party who is a raw food equipment supplier suggested to me that with the growing popularity of dehydrators these types of growing pains can happen. I tend to agree with him.

The construction of the good4u dehydrator is probably not as sturdy as the Excalibur but there are several features of this good4u dehydrator that I like better than the Excalibur and I hope that I can resolve this issue and find a solution.

One of the things I like about the good4u unit is that it does not need a door and you don't have to rearrange the food or move the trays for even dehydrating. The sides of this unit are solid so there is nohot air flow coming out of the sides as with some other units.It is also less expensive. I will keep you posted.

Oster FPSTDH0101 4-Tray Electric Food Dehydrator Review

I love this dehydrator; we actually bought two of them to keep up with the demand for crispy apple chips. Today the oldest one (was Christmas gift) started shutting off by itself, that is the fan stopped running. The older one which is a couple weeks old started last week to shut off. My husband returned it and got a replacement. I set it up this morningand the fan shut off within and hour after I started it. I have seen one other query regarding the fans shutting off. I would consider this a perfect appliance for the money if only I could find out how to fix the fan issue.
We tried using different electrical outlets but it didn't make any difference.

L'Equip 6-Tray Food Dehydrator - Model 528 Review

It worked great, until after about 20 batches, the bottom tray melted and electronics crapped out. With a 12 yr. warranty and ~$140 purchase I expected I'd have a dehydrator for life, wrong. I tried all the phone #'s, even a Canadian one, all the email addresses and they are all bunk/disconnected or don't even exist. Interesting the site appears to still be selling items though, hmmmmm. If anyone has had success with an issue like this, I would love some suggestions. -Aa
