Lequip 306275 L'Equip Fruit Leather Sheet 10/Pkg Review

$22 for 10 pieces of plastic that melted the first time I used them

I used them in the dehydrator they are made for.It was on high(153 degrees).Maybe you are not supposed to put it on high?Can anyone recommend a better leather drying product for the L'Equipe?

Other than this the L'Equipe has worked perfectly for me.But if they don't have a better leather sheet than this thing will be replaced with a different dehydrator.

Nesco BJT-6 Jerky Spice Works, 6-Pack, Teriyaki Flavor Review

I tried this product as recommendation....hate to say it, but the basic flavoring isn't what you might hope it to be and the added packet for "preserving" the jerky makes it far too salty for consumption. Perhaps if a smaller dose of the "cure" might make a difference, I don't know, but the flavoring I was hoping for just wasn't there. I'll give it another shot just in case I screwed it up, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Nesco American Harvest BJH-6 Jerky Spice Works, Hot and Spicy Flavor, 6.9oz box Review

This makes some gooooooooooooooood jerky. That is if you like your jerky spicy. I like to mix this with original flavor. I make 3 lbs. of jerky at a time. I use I pack of Hot and Spicy and 2 packs of original flavor. That gives me the spicy flavor I love without totaly setting my mouth on fire.

Good4U® 6 - tray Food Dehydrator Review

After much debate on buying the Good4U or Excalibur dehydrator, this one won out.I was impressed with the price and design of the unit.I wish I had got the Excalibur, with the problems I have had!

I used it 5 out of 7 days a week for 3 months. It started to make a loud clicking noise to which my husband figured out that the electrical tape holding some wires had come loose.After fixing that, a week later it stopped heating altogether. The heating temp switch also broke.I cook a lot of raw so it was upsetting not know what temp I was dehydrating at.

We have contacted the website and called the company's phone number to no end.Two months later NO ONE WILL CONTACT US BACK. This dehydrator has great potential, but some bugs that need to be worded out before buying.It needs the company to stand behind its guarantee to its registed buyers!

BE CAREFUL when buying this.I wish I would have bought the excalibur, because I now will buy it in addition to this broken one!

Nesco Gardenmaster 4-Tray Food Dehydrator - FD-1010 Review

This is a great dehydrator, perfect for beef jerky.Having the heat and fan unit on the top makes for much easier clean up.This unit replaced my old Gardenmaster, which had the fan on the bottom.They both worked perfectly, but the old one was difficult to clean.The new unit also has added features such as a digital temp gauge, and a digital timer.Both are great features, and help add to an already great product.

I highly recommend.

Nesco Add-A-Tray for FD-1010/FD-1018P/FD-1020 Review

Not a whole lot you can say... the product is as described. Fit my FD-1010 dehydrator perfectly. They're the same exact trays as the ones that came with the dehydrator. I've now accumulated 6 total trays. Will probably go up to 12. I plan on reviewing how well the dehydrator works when that many trays are loaded on. It says it's expandable up to 30 trays, but I cant imagine the heat would reach the top very well with 30 trays. Plus you'd have to put it on the floor with that many trays cause it'd be too tall to sit on the counter ;.).

The only negative thing I could say about these is the price (I paid ~20 USD after tax/shipping). After all, it's just a piece of plastic. There was a lot of resellers of this product at the time I first bought it, so I thought there should be a little more competition and lower prices. I would've already bought a lot more if they were cheaper. Oh well.

[update 1/24/08]
Finally got around to using these. they worked great, however, cleaning them was a pain in the A$$. I put them in the dishwasher on low heat, and they warped. Ridiculous that a $10 tray isn't made dishwasher safe, especially something that hard to clean. The same goes for these trays: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004W4VA (bought one of each to see the difference). I'd downgrade these to a 2 (if this edit would let me).
